This chocolate biscuit cake from Food Fusion on Youtube is the dessert you want to serve on any occasion. It’s super easy to make and no baking involved. And although it may look simple, this biscuit cake is so delicious and has a unique texture you’ll never get enough of.
- 21.16 oz digestive biscuits
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 & 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tbsp vanilla essence
- a pinch of salt
- 2/3 cup of unsalted butter
Roughly crush the biscuits and put them in a bowl. Set aside. In a saucepan, add 3/4 cup cocoa powder, 1 cup sugar, and 1 & 1/4 cup water. Whisk well, then turn on the heat. Whisk continuously and bring it to a boil. Add 1/2 tbsp vanilla essence, a pinch of salt, and 2/3 cup of unsalted butter. Whisk well. Cook on medium heat for two to three minutes, then let it cool for five minutes. After it cools down, pour it over the crushed biscuits. Mix and make sure the biscuits are coated well.
Grease your baking pan and pour the biscuit mixture, spreading it evenly. Refrigerate it for 30 minutes. While waiting, make the chocolate ganache. In a bowl, combine the crushed dark chocolate and cream. Microwave it for 90 seconds and mix well. Pour half of it over the biscuit cake and spread it evenly. Cover it with a cling wrap and refrigerate for three to four hours. After this, remove it from the pan and add more chocolate ganache on top by using an icing bag. Sprinkle some chocolate chips to finish.
