My family and I love pies and I make them quite often that8217;s why I always make sure to prepare the perfect crust, and probably one of my all-time favorite crusts to use is this one that is made out of cookies by Bigger Bolder Baking on YouTube! What I love about this pie crust recipe is that it needs no baking, it only requires 2 ingredients, and I can always make them ahead of time because they can last for up to 2 days in the fridge. Did I mention that they taste incredibly delicious, too? Well, they truly do!
- 2 sleeves (approx. 9 ounces or 252 grams) of Graham crackers, or any cookie
- ½ cup (4 ounces or 115 grams) of butter, melted
Grease a 9-inch pie pan nicely with butter along the bottom and sides, then line it with 3 layers of cling wrap, and set it aside. Put the cookies or graham crackers in a food processor or a Ziploc bag, then crush them until fine crumbs, and then transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Add the melted butter, then stir them together until well combined and it looks like wet sand.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, then press it down the bottom and the sides using your hands, and make sure that the thickness is as even as possible. Place the crust in the refrigerator, then leave it to set for about 15 minutes, and use it on your pie or tart recipes. You can store this pie crust in the fridge for up to 2 days.
