Materials:

  • Sponge
  • Warm water
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Paper towel
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Directions:

Step 1

Grab a bowl, then fill it with about ¼ to ½ cup of clean warm water, and put the sponge in the warm water to let it soak for about 5 to 10 minutes or until most of the liquid has been absorbed. Once done soaking, transfer the sponge onto a paper towel or you can soak your sponge in a mixture of a juice of half a lemon and water, and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.

Step 2

Now, put the wet sponge inside the microwave, then heat it up over a high setting for 1 to 2 minutes making sure to keep an eye on your sponge to prevent it from burning in the process, and then allow the sponge to cool for at least 10 to 15 minutes or until cool to the touch. Once cooled down, wring the sponge out, then use it as you normally would, and you’re done.
