This beautiful always chasing rainbow quilt is an easy design that8217;s perfect for beginners. I love this pattern by SewVeryEasy because it8217;s so fun to sew, and it has different vibrant colors. It reminds me of the games in the arcade! Watch the video below for the full instructions.
- 80 pieces of 58243; colored squares
- 80 pieces of 58243; white squares (for the background)
- white backing fabric
- 2 1/28243; squares
Get one of the sets. On the back of the white squares, draw a diagonal line from one corner to another. Place the white squares on top of each colored square. Sew a quarter inch on each side of the line.
Cut both on a diagonal line. Next, decide which arrow is going up and going down. For the top, the whites are coming out and for the bottom portion, the whites are going down. One seam should go in one direction and one in the other. You can use sticky notes so you will remember the directions.
For the first row of the quilt, all of the arrows are pointing up. For the second arrow, flip them around, so they are pointing down. Continue alternating directions of the arrows until the last column. Sew them together by columns first.
Cut 2 1/2 inches and 8 1/2 inches from the background fabric. Sew the 2 1/28243; squares on each of the edges of the 2 1/28243; by 8 1/28243; strips. Sew them together, then make another one. After that, sew them on the top and bottom of the quilt.
