When I found this awesome tip for sharpening scissors and knives using a coffee cup by Blainenp, on YouTube, I was so excited because I have never known how to sharpen knives or scissors. I am not sure why, but I had always thought that sharpening a knife would be super hard. Surprisingly, it is not hard to sharpen a knife using a coffee cup. Yes, the only stipulation is the fact that the coffee cup needs to be ceramic.

It is so easy to sharpen a knife, you just turn the coffee cup upside down and rake the blade across the bottom of the cup.

Then you can test the sharpness of the knife by using a piece of paper to test it.

This is a great idea, it works really well.
